* UBUD - CRÉMATION *

Lorsque nous étions à Ubud, une cérémonie de crémation était organisé, on a donc pu y assister (avec à mon avis tout le reste de la ville et des touristes du coin) : en gros selon la caste de la personne décédé la cérémonie est plus ou moin importante. Ici, visiblement quelqu'un d'assez balaise...

Le corps est transporté tout en haut d'une tour décorée (plus ou moin haute encore une fois selon l'importance du défunt) dans la ville pendant une procession (avec des chants, des offrandes) ou l'objectif est de désorienter le corps afin qu'il ne puisse pas retrouver son chemin ; puis le corps est transvasé dans un sarcophage (dont la forme correspond à la caste), ici : une vache (la plus haute caste), que l'on finit par brûler...
